This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is 4:30–10 PM. I’ve been coming to this restaurant for over a decade, but unfortunately it’s really gone downhill. Since the yellow & black remodel, the food just hasn’t tasted the same. It used to be excellent—now it feels like a step down across the board. The chicken biryani, especially when it was kept in the rice steamer, was on another level compared to what’s being served now. The pakoras and even some of the chutneys seem different too—like recipes or preparation have changed. There also seem to be fewer items on the buffet, and a lot of the food isn’t as warm as it used to be. I’m not sure if the steam table isn’t holding temp properly, but it definitely affects the experience. On a positive note, the older gentleman and woman working there have always been—and still are—very kind and welcoming. It’s just disappointing to see a place I’ve enjoyed for years fall off like this. Charging $20 for a “weekend” buffet at Friday lunch also feels steep, especially when there didn’t appear to be any difference in offerings compared to weekdays.

Absolutely disappointed with this restaurant. I placed a carry-out order, and the food quality was terrible. To make things worse, I found hair in the food. It completely ruined my meal, and I had to throw everything away in the middle of lunch. The customer service was just as bad. The short lady who seems to be the owner’s wife was extremely rude. When I went to pay, she even asked if I “wanted the change back,” clearly implying I should leave it as a tip. She kept hovering and questioning what I was getting, and when I mentioned that one of the buffet items was empty and needed to be refilled, she told me to “just get something else” instead of replenishing it. This entire experience was unacceptable. I’m definitely not going back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Though the food is not up to South Indian standard, but I really appreciate the elder man who greets and being nice to the people who come to dine in. I was not satisfied about food but I’m going with a happy smile seeing the people working at this restaurant. This restaurant is absolutely a go to place for North Indians. For South Indians please don’t expect our food and get disappointed

We had the lunch buffet, open from 11 to 2:30. While the number of dishes wasn’t impressive, the food quality certainly was. I was a little skeptical tbh when we entered the restaurant. However, my impression changed for the positive pretty quickly. The restaurant offers both veg and non-veg items in the buffet. The food was delicious! What stood out was the absence of the overwhelming spice level (not talking about hotness) and the resulting smell often found in below-average Indian restaurants. The chicken was cooked perfectly. I particularly liked the Punjabi vegetable dish made with cauliflower and daal. The mango ice cream and rice pudding were also great. Other dishes included plain rice, naan, bhatura, veg polau, tandoori chicken, chicken curry, saag panir, veg korma, veg pakora, etc. The service was fantastic! The owner/manager came out to ask about how the food was. The server was also very helpful.

Looking for something different in the area, decided to try some Indian food and found Flavor of India. The restaurant it’s self is smaller with a handful of tables. Staff sat us pretty quickly, and followed all current covid standards. The menu has a nice selection of items and we so chose several. Main was a non vegetarian sampler and it was absolutely delicious! We added some bread and rice plus chicken as well and made a feast for 4. We enjoyed all the food, so why only 3 stars? Honestly a star lost on overall cleanliness, not saying it wasn’t clean at all but I have high standards. Also while enjoying dinner there was a couple in there with the loudest kid in the world who ran wild with no one asking him to stop and really became annoyed. The parents or staff should have asked to calm and quiet the child.
